12 year old boy by PrimeHunter 12 year old boy by PrimeHunter
This is a comic style drawing of my the first main character form my novel at the age of twelve. There is no step by step for this one. However I will do so for the rest.

I am exploring styles for my comicbook and i thought it'd be great if I started with characters from my novel, as a practice! Who knows...maybe they'll make it to the comic. At this point they are only novel characters.

FEED BACK IS APPRECIATED.

Ohh, he looks adorable, yet as if he was sceptical of something.. What is his name? And what is your novel about?

Thank you. Yes he is quite the skeptic/indecisive fellow. I don't like divulging the names of my characters, nothing personal :). I will tell you that my novel is a fantasy :). It is based in another world almost like ours, you could call it a parallel universe i guess. It focuses on the journey of 7 young adults (early and mid twenties) who's life changes as they experience a traumatizing event. It is very British in its style of writing and dialogue. :)

This sounds quite fascinating, I assume you had a lot of fun writing it. But it's totally ok not wanting to tell anyone everything about your personal writings, I also don't like doing it. ;)

Mhh, mainly articles, but my real passion are short stories and poems. I'm a lateral thinker, so that's what my texts are about- thinking everything trough. And it depresses me that I might be able to describe feelings, but never put on paper how I actually feel. ;)

Hahah yeah it is quite tough to transfer ideas from mind to paper...Its a struggle, but its rewarding. Especially when what you write is better than what you think. :). I have the same issue with my art as well. Drawing the characters actually gave me more background story than I had intended. Quite the interesting process I gotta say.

I see.. Drawing characters makes me get to know them better, too! Strange, but it somehow works. ;)
